As the longest-running and most widely recognized Integrative Medicine Fellowship, the program at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona has shaped the field’s standards of excellence for over three decades.
With a global network of more than 5,000 alumni and associates, we offer a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and evidence-informed curriculum led by internationally renowned faculty, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Stephen Dahmer, Dr. Esther Sternberg, and Dr. Ann Marie Chiasson.
Recognized as a leader in integrative medicine education, our Fellowship delivers unmatched depth, credibility, and clinical mentorship, empowering graduates to drive meaningful change in healthcare.
Designed for forward-thinking practitioners, this flexible, primarily online program integrates advanced training with full-time patient care, equipping Fellows with the knowledge, skills, and connections to thrive—both professionally and personally—in an evolving medical landscape, all without stepping away from their practice.
Tuition
The Fellowship in Integrative Medicine is $34,550 for two years, inclusive of the holding fee and deposit.
Tuition covers:
- Access to all online course content
- Participation in dialogues, clinical mentorship, and special interest groups
- Retreat tuition, most meals & materials at experiential weeks
- Access to selected integrative medicine faculty and practitioners
- Coursework and Experiential Week CME
Tuition does not cover the following:
- Recommended or optional texts
- Lodging and travel expenses for Experiential Week visits
- Participation in other University of Arizona programs
Payment Schedule
- Application fee: $150 (non-refundable)
- Once Accepted, Holding Fee: $1,500 ( non-refundable)
- Deposit: $2,000 (Deposit becomes non-refundable on the day the class begins or four months after paying the fee)
- Balance payment: $31,050.00
Flexible Payment Options
The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona is pleased to offer flexible payment plans for those accpeted into the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine:
- 1 payment of $31,050
- 2 yearly payments of $15,525
- 8 quarterly payments of $3,881.25
- 20 monthly payments of $1,552.50

Fellowship 2026-2028 Fall Scholarships
The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine is pleased to offer a range of integrative medicine scholarships to practitioners committed to expanding integrative approaches in healthcare. Prospective Integrative Medicine Fellows are encouraged to apply early to ensure full consideration. You must have an accepted Fellowship program application to be eligible to apply for scholarships.
Single Application & Early Priority
Scholarships for the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine are awarded in rounds. Once you submit your scholarship application, you will be considered for all available Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine scholarships. A single application is required for all relevant scholarship rounds and award categories. Submitting early increases your chances of receiving an award, as funding is allocated on a rolling basis.
Award Limits
Fellowship scholarship awards range from $2,000 to $10,000, with a maximum award of $15,000, though the Rheumatology and Lamees Hamdan Fellow Awards may exceed this amount.
To be considered for a scholarship round, you must be accepted into the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine and submit your scholarship application before the round’s end date.

- Rheumatology – Up to 75% tuition scholarship awarded to an MD/DO board-certified rheumatologist, with preference given to an academic physician.
- Stamets Indigenous Healing Scholarship – Up to $12,500 scholarship awarded to someone with knowledge of an indigenous healing practice. This includes training in healing that is derived from an indigenous tradition or community from any area of the globe and/or providing healthcare to an indigenous community. Indigenous, for this scholarship, refers to healing traditions originally practiced by local healers in the culture it originally served.
- Lamees Hamdan Fellow Award – Full ride scholarship awarded to someone with an interest in or commitment to Emirati culture.
Round 3 – June 1 - June 30
Available Scholarships: $2,500-Full Ride

If still available after Round 2:
- Rheumatology – Up to 75% tuition scholarship awarded to an MD/DO board-certified rheumatologist, with preference given to an academic physician.

The recipients will be expected to contribute the amount not covered by the scholarship towards their $34,550 tuition, payable over the two-year program. Additional costs associated with Fellowship studies include supplemental learning materials, travel, lodging and other incidental expenses for the three experiential weeks.
